On May 10, 2013, the Portsmouth Public Education Foundation will hold its 7th annual
Hidden Kitchens of Portsmouth Tour from 11am to 7pm to benefit Portsmouth Public School students. We are asking that you help by being a “Tour”sponsor.
Founded in 2001, PPEF is a 501(3c) non-profit organization whose mission is to further the educational experience of our students by providing programs and opportunities not offered in the standard curriculum and not ordinarily funded by the school operating budget. Since our founding we have given over $110,000 to fund grants.
Teacher grants are awarded at the beginning of the school year and must be used during that academic year. This past year we awarded $17,500 in grants to creative teachers with the range from a few hundred dollars to $2900. Grants were awarded on the elementary, middle and high school level. The variety of grants included a program that explored renewable energy to one that funded the replacement of 25 year old risers in the high school auditorium. In 2012 our Foundation funded the improvement of the sound system for the high school and purchased Nooks for an English class.
We cannot continue this success without your help!
Sponsorship for our biggest fundraiser, the Kitchen Tour, will help us to prepare Portsmouth students for their future through new programs and projects funded by us.
This last year we had almost 300 attendees tour our Kitchens and thanks to our valuable sponsors we raised over $9,000 to be used toward grants. With your help we can match or exceed that goal.
If you can help, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 401-683-3021. If you wish, you can mail your response by using the form at the bottom of the sponsorship page.
I sincerely thank you in advance,
Marilyn L. Brockway, President
