The 2013 Kitchen Tour: A Great Success Story

This past May, the Portsmouth Public Education Foundation (PPEF) held its 7th annual Hidden Kitchens of Portsmouth Tour.

We would like to thank the many volunteers who helped make this event so successful and the seven home owners who graciously opened their homes for the 250 attendees.

This event would not be possible without our sponsors. We would like to thank our  lead Sponsor Newport Fed, as well as Bright Ideas Pre-School, Viti Mercedes-Benz/Volvo, Apex Kitchens & Baths, George & Martha Easley, Exquisite Events, Gil’s Television & Appliances, Griff Electric, PJR Construction, Senator Christopher Ottiano, Jaffe Orthodontics, Ben & Helen Furriel, Robert & Nancy Whitehead, John & Barbara Odegaard, Judy McLennan and many other anonymous friends of PPEF. Our media sponsors included the Newport Daily News, Newport This Week, and the Portsmouth Times. Communication was provided by John & Carol Dietz.

Our tour would not be successful without the generous donation of food and beverages. Our thanks go out to Allen’s Wine & Spirits, Becky’s Barbecue, Bellevue Wine & Spirits, Custom House Coffee Middletown, Crystal Spring Water, Empire Tea & Coffee, Evelyn’s, Fatulli’s Bakery &Deli, Fieldstones, the French Confection, Milk & Honey Bazaar, Narragansett Brewery, Russell Morin Fine Catering, Scampi, and Tito’s.

“PPEF helps to support the mission and vision of the Portsmouth School Department by making funds available to staff to develop and engage in projects further supporting students.” Dr. Lynn Krizic
